List of New IITs: There are total eight (8) new IITs that have started functioning as per IIT JEE 2011 prospectus.

India already has seven functional IIMs in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode and Shillong. IIM Ranchi and Rohtak have also started taking admissions.

List of New AIIMS Hospital and Research Institute

A total of six new AIIMS hospital and research institutes would be set-up on the lines of All India

Institute of Medical Sciences-New Delhi per following: �AIIMS- Bihar(Patna), AIIMS- Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal), AIIMS- Orissa (Bhubaneshwar), AIIMS -Rajasthan (Jodhpur), AIIMS- Chhattisgarh (Raipur) and AIIMS -Uttaranchal (Rishikesh).

Each institute will intake 100 UG students. Once opened, this will significantly increase the intake of students from existing 50 seats (total-including all quota) in AIIMS.
