JEE-Main 2013 Expected Normalized Marks and Rank

The candidates for JEE-Main 2013 could use the following table to first figure out the normalized marks that takes care of both JEE-Main marks and CBSE 12th Percentage. Subsequently, the second table could be used to find out the expected AIR rank in JEE-Main from the normalized marks.

CBSE ‘open book’ exam from this year

NEW DELHI: Ushering in what could be the biggest change in the country’s school examination system, the Central Board of Secondary Education will introduce an ‘open book’ section in the final exams for classes 9, 10 and 11 from the current academic year and for class 12 boards from next year (2014-15).

For the ‘open book’ section — which doesn’t mean books can be taken inside the exam hall — students will be given case studies in each subject four months in advance. All questions will be from the given material. This section will carry 20% weightage.

JEE Mains: Class 12 Marks Normalization Unresolved

Normalisation of class XII marks in JEE: No consensus as NITs meet

New Delhi: The council of National Institute of Technology (NITs) met here on Tuesday to deliberate on options for normalisation of class XII marks across school boards, but there was no consensus. Sources said the next round of meeting to hammer out a solution is likely next week, even as students across the country are already in midst of appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination 2013 under the new format for admission to undergraduate programme.
